i2U Loyalty is anonymous and generates a unique code to each loyalty card and as a result it doesn’t require any personal data about the card holder, avoiding the GDPR compliance. It simply knows which card has spent X amount and records the date, time, and amount spent at each transaction. Each card can then be sent push notifications advertising special offers etc these can be sent to every card holder as one mass marketing offer or to any configuration of card holders eg everyone who has visited in the last six months and has spent more than £150.
