App Store Description

Idioms in Conversation I was designed as a companion to the print title Idioms in Conversation Volume I, a finalist in the 2014 International Book Awards. It is part of the series Fluency Tools Part I by Marshall Cavendish Education. The app enhances the reading and learning experience with interactive idiom flashcards, audio recordings and quizzes.

Each key idiom is introduced individually on flashcards. On one side, see a cute and colourful illustration of the idiom’s literal meaning. Then flip it over to read the figurative definition. Click ‘Audio’ to hear the idiom used in an everyday conversation.

Ready for a challenge? Go to the ‘Tests’ section, which has four different test modes. In each test, users are quizzed on a series of 10 idioms and their meanings. A different set of idioms will appear each time.
