What is it about?

This application connects multiple levels of Air Force and Civilian personnel and their families currently working the IDMT specialty and those that are interested in our specialty by offering additional communication methods while on the go, both online and offline. This app will help Air Force medics stay organized by having quick access to essential information needed for their job accessible in one location without having to search multiple media outlets from a desktop computer. Our app provides a great way for leadership to communicate important protocols to all IDMTs at a quicker pace than traditional email and Sharepoint sites and without requiring CAC access. The app also allows users to pre-download documents so that they are available in both online and offline mode, allowing medics to have access to critical information even when cellular and WiFi service is unavailable. And the app will automatically detect when downloaded content has been updated and will re-download and replace outdated versions. An app-wide search scans all app content, whether previously downloaded or not, even inside PDF documents.

About the IDMT

The Independent Duty Medical Technician (IDMT) is the only “enlisted provider” in the United States Air Force. The skills and training provided to the ADMT allows them to operate in remote and austere locations without direct medical oversight. Clinical training provides IDMTs with clinical knowledge and hands-on experiential training under the purview of a credentialed medical provider.
