This application targets all healthcare personnel (medical students, residents, nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists), healthcare administrators, and anyone needing information about infection control measures to prevent transmission of infectious agents. The app is designed to address all components of the healthcare delivery system, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, ambulatory care, home care and hospice.

About us: This application was developed by Amaran Moodley and Richard Lee in collaboration with Hipposoft, LLC at the University of California, San Diego. The application incorporates guidelines from the 2007 “Guideline for Isolation Precautions: preventing transmission of infectious agents in healthcare settings”. This material was used with permission from the Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Additional information was obtained from American Academy of Pediatrics Red Book 2009. Information on cystic fibrosis was obtained from the 2003 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Guideline, “Infection Control Recommendations for patients with cystic fibrosis: microbiology, important pathogens, and infection control practices to prevent patient to patient transmission”.
