Some students who go on to vocational qualifications have often had bad experiences with maths, and can be on retake courses for functional skills or GCSE maths.
Infinity generator helps these students by:
Relevance – Students understand and master the key maths skills they will be using in their first year of employment, these are relevant to them.
Confidence - As they practice and master these skills their confidence in their maths ability improves, which brings benefits to their GCSE studies
Infinity generator is designed to be used in short sections, repeated often.
It can be used as a starter, plenary, breakout in a practical session or as homework.
The idea is questions are practiced every lesson / week for just 5 or 10 minutes, so over a period of weeks students become masters of each skill.
In our trials we have focused on progress made by learners, encouraging them to learn 1 or 2 questions a week, and repeating these skills numerous times so answering them becomes a reflex
