With 60 years of experience, the Irish School of Landscape Painting has developed a 4 stage system.
We bring amateur artists to a professional standard helping all artists feel good about their paintings.

This app has free videos, created in various remote locations as well as our Courses Library. This is a library of recordings of previous Livestreams, which contains over 150 hours of lessons revealing the life and techniques of Masters like Turner, Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Matisse, and more.

We offer weekly Live Streams which includes a Live Chat so that you can ask Susan questions which she responds to while painting.

Our tutor Susan is an accomplished Professional Artist and shares everything, from the brushes she is using, to her mixture of colours and how to best use them.
As Susan paints she discusses the life and struggles of the artist we are studying and the wider impact they made on the World of Art. All the while painting in the manner of that artist and showing how we today can use this knowledge to benefit our own painting.

It is rare to find someone that can absorb and relate many historical facts, interweaving them into a fascinating story that even the non-painter will enjoy at the same time creating a work of art. The drama of the painting unfolds before your eyes as you begin to assimilate the era of the chosen artist, experiencing the painting through their eyes.

You are encouraged to engage with Susan as she does this, asking questions or further illuminating the technique used.

This method of teaching is uniquely successful as the camera can zoom in to show the exact pressure and movement of the brushes in larger than life-size. Susan will clearly describe as she shows, the amount of pressure, twist or flick that is required to give such an effect.
