iTAP Bendix

This trailer control App will turn your Smartphone/Tablet into a Wi-Fi enabled remote control device for heavy trailers fitted with iTAP hardware from Bendix.

The App provides you with the flexibility to control all available output functions provided on the trailer.

On trailers equipped with a Bendix TABS system, auxiliary function can be controlled via the app.

The App can display real time data coming from the trailer such as the current bogie load and pad wear status and individual tyre conditions coming from a fitted TPMS system - pressures and temperatures are clearly displayed.
On trailers equipped with Bendix cameras, the App can also display real time data from those cameras.

The App also provides basic diagnostic capability such as reading out fault codes, pressures, voltages and service information to aid maintenance and fault diagnosis of the trailer. The vehicle based iTAP hardware provides protection against unauthorized access to the trailer by requiring a brake pressure pairing process to be performed when a Smartphone/Tablet is connected to the trailer for the first time, subsequently pairing is not required unless another device is connected and successfully paired to the iTAP. The hardware also ensures that when the vehicle is moving either no information, or a driving specific set of information is displayed to the driver to limit distraction. Finally the iTAP hardware ensures that any request coming from the App complies with the current operating state of the vehicle.

A demo mode is conveniently provided to explain how the App functions without the need to connect to a trailer or having installed iTAP hardware.

Requirements for full installation:
- Bendix iTAP hardware and TABS6.1 ADV MC braking system fitted.
- Wireless Local Area Network Connection (WLAN or Wi-Fi) to the iTAP.
- iOS 11 or higher

Privacy Policy:
The App does not collect or externally transfer personal data stored on your Smartphone/Tablet.
The App performs a connection via Wi-Fi to the iTAP hardware for the purpose of operating trailer based functions via the App.
