“Jewish MISSION CONTROL” is an app developed primarily to help Jews respond to the efforts of Christian missionaries. It also can be used to help Jews and non-Jews learn more about Jewish beliefs, and help explain how the Hebrew Scripture have informed and shaped Jewish belief and practice throughout the ages.

Most people, including many Jews, believe that the only difference between Judaism and Christianity is that one faith holds that Jesus was the messiah, while the other does not. Some further believe that if one were to reject the Christian belief in the Trinity, or the Christian belief in the Divine nature of Jesus, then what is left regarding the messiahship of Jesus would be acceptable in Judaism. These beliefs are simply misunderstandings of both Judaism and Christianity. To believe that Jesus was the messiah, one must believe in a foundation of beliefs that Judaism finds to be mutually exclusive and completely incompatible with Biblical and therefore with Jewish theology.

The core of the site is a series of 10 essays which explain the Biblical foundations of Jewish belief, and clarify the differences between Jewish theology and Christian theology, using specific Biblical passages as well as verses from the Christians’ New Testament. The second part of this App covers Christian Prooftexts, the 10 verses from the Hebrew Scriptures most commonly used by Christians to proselytize Jews to Christianity.
