The consumption of electricity is very less compared to other industries and it never demands more space or high investment on machineries. The industry never attracts sounds pollution or waste disposal. Accordingly this jewellery sector has made phenomenal progress, emerging as a major business providing employment to lakhs of people in this thickly populated state.
