The Balafon is one of the instruments of the Mande Jeli, otherwise known as Griots. Through our unique guidebook let us introduce you to the descendants of a tradition of bards dating back to the ancient advanced empires of Ghana, Mali and Songhay. These master artists record and recite histories and retell them through song.
