“kla si ko” ( Tiger eats Cow) is a traditional Cambodian turn based board game for two players. One player plays as the tiger, and the other as the cow. The tiger can win by capturing all the cows. Any player wins if their opponent has no more valid moves.
Game Phases:
1. The cow player starts the game by placing a cow from his reserve of cows in any free space on the playing board.
2. The tiger player may then make their move by moving any one of the existing tigers one square in a horizontal or vertical direction. However, if there is a cow on the square that the tiger is moving to, and there is a free space after the cow, the tiger may be moved to this space. When this happens the cow is captured and removed from the board. On the other hand if there is a cow there the tiger may not move in that direction.
These two steps are repeated until the winning condition is reached.
