Der Verein wurde am 1. Juni 1995 gegründet und zählt etwa 60 Mitglieder. Er organisiert an jedem Wochenende (fast ausschließlich Samstags) Liveacts aus der gesamten Palette der Kleinkunst. Die wichtigsten Formate sind "Bad Salzunger Kultursommer", "Stadtfest" (Open air), "Bad Salzunger Jazz-Nächte" und "Feines Klub Kino".
