The Labour Hopscotch Framework aims to support women in a 'physiological' birth where the innate abilities of the woman's body and baby – rather than epidurals and caesarean sections – power the process. The framework was developed in 2015 by Sinéad Thompson, a community midwife at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
