The Layar Permai application was created for use in a limited scope, specifically only for residents of Layar Permai RT12 Pantai Indah Kapuk, Jakarta.
The function of the Layar Permai application is for liaison purposes among residents, security officers, environmental caretakers and environmental managers.
As a means of connecting between residents and environmental managers, the Layar Permai application provides facilities such as:
- storage of personal data for the purpose of taking care of residence papers
- the need for security access to enter the area
- request assistance from environmental security for urgent conditions
- environmental event schedule
- submission of citizen complaints
- request assistance to the environmental manager
- news that people need to know
As a means of liaison among security officers, environmental caretakers and environmental managers, the Layar Permai application provides facilities such as:
- reporting of environmental conditions
- monitoring the presence of officers
- news that officers need to know
The Layar Permai application is also equipped with a barcode scanner facility to process event codes to be held by environmental managers with the following results:
- attendance list
- feedback
- opens advanced information

Citizen data security is carried out by:
- access using ssl
- exclusive subscriptions
- there is no facility for residents to see the data of other residents who are not in the same house
The following are the steps for a citizen to subscribe using the Layar Permai application:
1. Install the Layar Permai application on the smartphone
2. Get a special QR code from the environmental manager that contains a unique code that specifically identifies the resident's address, each resident with a different home address will get a different QR code
3. Run the Layar Permai application and scan the QR code just once at the start of the subscription process, after which residents are asked to fill in their personal data. Residents can complete their own photo and vehicle data for reminder purposes and security access to enter the area
4. The Layar Permai application is ready to use.
