Listen Hear 1 targets focused listening and attention, vital for speaking, reading and learning.
Listen Hear 1 aims to assist with listening skills, auditory memory as well as auditory sequencing (remembering in order).
Listen Hear 1 relates sounds to the visual symbol (alphabet) which is important for reading development.
Listen Hear 1 focuses on paying attention to contrasts between sounds.
Listen Hear 1 was designed by a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Listen Hear 1 is divided into sections for specific sound contrasts:
short vowels
long vowels
tricky consonants
alphabet
s blends
speech sounds
The exercises are completed quickly for positive reinforcement.
They can be repeated any number of times.
There is an optional timer as a feature for increased motivation and challenges.
Each wrong tap attracts a five second penalty.
The game "Find Me" focuses on listening to a single sound.
The game "Follow Me" focuses on listening in sequence to as many items as can be remembered. The items must be tapped in the correct order.
