Estimates indicate that over 1 billion people between the ages of 12 and 35 risk having hearing problems linked to noise exposure. The little-known link between music listening in an unsafe way and the risk of damages or early hearing loss lies at the heart of “Listen Responsibly – Ci Sentiamo Dopo”, the Amplifon’s edutainment project about responsible listening.
During the music festival Firenze Rocks, where the project was launched in June 2019, young participants had discovered that listening music responsibly is not only possible but also cool, as you can both protect your hearing and enjoy the concert vibes.
After the first stop in Florence, “Listen Responsibly - Ci Sentiamo Dopo” keeps rolling! Throughout the school year 2019-2020, the project will reach 800 classes of middle and high schools around Italy, in order to make the young students ambassadors of a new culture of sound and hearing awareness.
“Listen Responsibly – Ci Sentiamo Dopo” is part of We Care, the Corporate Citizenship Program of Amplifon, which brings alive all the initiatives with a social and environmental impact that the company promotes and supports throughout the 29 countries where it operates.
Amplifon has always been at the forefront of raising hearing care awareness. In 2018 it participated in Sónar+D in Barcelona – an international symposium focused on creativity part of the program of the famous avant-garde music festival – and sponsored a creative competition focused on innovative and distintive forms of hearing experience.
Hearing is like your fingerprint: unique and personal as your DNA.
