App Store Description

Designed for patients with liver cirrhosis, LiverSync monitors trends in brain function and memory that may be affected by advanced liver disease. The app allows you to take short tests on a regular basis and will let you know when changes occur. These connections allow people to be alerted when changes occur so you can get help and treatment as early as possible.

Did you know that advanced liver disease can sometimes also impact brain function?

One complication of liver cirrhosis is hepatic encephalopathy (HE) and approximately half of patients with advanced liver disease can be affected. This occurs when toxins can flow through the bloodstream until they reach the brain, causing physical damage.

Some of the signs and symptoms of a decline in brain function include confusion, trouble communicating, irritability and excessive daytime sleeping and your ability to drive, all of which can negatively impact your daily life.

There are two forms of HE, the first being milder (minimal HE) and other being advanced (overt HE).

LiverSync uses six tried and trusted clinical tests that act as an early warning system to help spot the early signs of a change in brain functioning, before you even start to experience any real symptoms.

You can either register yourself or you doctor may invite you to register and you can also invite family members or carers.

Alerts sent to your doctor keeps them informed about how you are doing and provides them useful information to help tailor a care plan to meet your needs.

Simple to set up:
- Register and confirm your email
- Set a test plan if your doctor hasn’t already
- Take tests on the schedule selected
- Connect with people to help you monitor your condition
- If a change occurs, see your doctor

If in doubt please contact your consultant, doctor or nurse directly. This app does not replace regular contact with them.

Do not let anyone else do your tests for you as this could delay any help you need.

The full instructions for use can be found at https://portal.liversync.com/ifu and you should read them before using the App.
