The standard for what is an ‘appropriate outfit’ or ‘good looking’ is becoming more fluid due to changes in how we work, meet people, date, and socialize. We don't necessarily want fashion stylists to tell us what to wear. Rather, we want to hear from people who already have this insider knowledge

Our mission is to connect people who want to be well-dressed for the occasion with people who are/have been there. LookRight provides a social platform that matches people with these types of occasion-specific outfit questions, to ‘advisors’ who have the “insider knowledge.”

Scenario #1: Imagine you have an interview at a tech company. But you’ve never worked in tech. What should you wear?

You don't know if the typical interview outfits are appropriate, given that people in tech are younger and informal. You don't want to stand out too much by wearing something "too fashionable". You want to fit right in, not worry about the outfit, and focus on acing the interview. You could google "what I should wear to a tech interview" and get lost in the search, OR you could post your planned outfit on LookRight and directly ask those who work in tech for advice!

Scenario #2: You haven’t been on an online date in a while. You and the date are going to a bar and then movies. Is a jeans-and-T-shirt combo too casual?

You don't want to seem too casual because you think she might be the one. You also don't want to overdress because it's just a first date. You could ask your roommate for his opinion (but he's not a girl and doesn't go on dates) OR you could post your planned outfit on LookRight and ask women with similar age range who go on dates for their opinion!
