App Store Description

Love Your Mind Online is a centralised mental health and wellbeing application that educates us on the complexities of mental health + mental illness. We provide you with lots of generalised advice to help yourself as well as others.

We have a vision to put an end to the stigma surrounding mental health and we will do this by these 3 things:
1) Improving the accessibility model
2) Getting the conversation going about mental health
3) Educating the public on the complexities of mental health.

We are so excited that you are interested in learning to look after your mind! We can’t wait to have you on this journey with us! Let us tell you more about our app:

What does Love Your Mind Online offer?

1)Awareness – Here you will find the education part of our app. This involves an area for myth busting misconceptions about mental health, generalised advice on how to help others and yourself, the science behind mental illnesses + much more!

2)Posts – This area includes lots of generalised tips and advice categorised into different topics such as stress/anxiety, self care/acceptance, low mood, positivity, grief, communication/relationships as well as others!

3)Series – As we have a vision to get rid of the stigma, we need to get people talking about mental health whether that be their experience or their generalised advice to others moving forward. We needed to create a safe space to open up the conversation; here is that space.

4)Techniques – Take part in on demand classes such as Hypnosis, Meditation, EFT, NLP, Breathing Techniques, Yoga + others!

5)Journal – Thinking about your thinking is hugely important. If we aren’t thinking about our thinking we are merely just a puppet acting through unthought reactions. Our journal gives you access to a space where you can write down your thoughts as well as challenging them, track your progress and understand more about yourself; all with the help of our ‘prompts’.

6)How to get help – When it comes to getting help for our mental health it can be quite overwhelming. We may not know where to start. Here we try to improve the accessibility model through explaining to you all sorts of therapies, what therapy involves, multiple step by step guides on how to get help + links to helplines.

7)Challenges – When it comes to progression and maintenance with anything in life it’s important that we set ourselves goals in order carry this out. It’s also key for us feel that sense of achievement which results in benefitting our mental wellbeing. Here we provide you with 7 day, 10 day and month long daily challenges in topics such as self care, mindfulness, positivity, mental health in general (and others!) for you to take part in.

8) Notifications - in the form of mental wellbeing reminders.

Why try it?
We have normalised looking after our physical health through diet + exercise but we can't be ‘healthy’ without looking after our brain as well!
We all have mental health in the same way we all have physical health, meaning we all have a scale of mental wellness that we need to consistently care for.
Mental health/illness affects each and every one of us in some way over our lifetime whether that be through us experiencing it personally or someone close to us going through it, meaning we all have a responsibility to educate ourselves on the matter so that we can be of help and support to ourselves + others.

Love Your Mind Online is here to help you learn to look after your mind, get the conversation going, educate you around subject + the complexities of it, advise you how to support others; all these things + a lot more resulting in getting rid of the stigma surrounding mental health!

Join us on our journey of learning to look after our mind, together!
