LPC is a robust organisation that has evolved over many years of understanding the core needs of Blackburn and Darwen’s GP Surgery management by the people who have worked on the front line of the NHS GP Surgery structure. It has matured with the advent of contemporary technologies.

FEDERATE is Local Primary Care's (LPC) bespoke technology platform to bring together all GP Surgeries and healthcare staff within Blackburn with Darwen. The iOS app has many unique features that provides a range of benefits for both staff in primary care and the GP Surgeries. FEDERATE aims to provide the best opportunities for its own local healthcare staff and create a sustainable future for Primary Care in Blackburn and Darwen.

In today’s digital-age, it is imperative for medical professionals and clinical practices to embrace technology for patients as well as themselves. LPC recognizes this need and the FEDERATE platform has many unique features to enable effortless resourcing, operations, notifications and financial management for its users.

GP Surgery Administrators working at various GP Surgery’s under LPC can register and access all features and capabilities of the platform. With FEDERATE, GP Administrators, can manage their Surgery’s profiles, obtain holistic views of staff and operations, easily manage accounting, enable processing of contracts and agreements and much more.

Unique to Blackburn and Darwen’s LPC, The Quality and Outcomes Enhanced Services Transformation (QOEST) scheme is designed to support Primary Care to transform into a sustainable, high quality provider that delivers better outcomes and improved access for patients and manages more people outside of a traditional hospital setting. The LPC FEDERATE platform provides GP Surgery’s with a snapshot view of areas of to focus on maximum QOEST benefit.

Since being established in 2014, all 22 General Practices currently within Blackburn with Darwen are members on this platform, and their users as well as others working in Blackburn and Darwen can benefit from the Federate platform.

Local Primary Care works on behalf of the practices within Blackburn and Darwen to provide excellent services by supporting member practices, efficient resource management, schedule trainings, managing finances and helping our patients.
