Lunt Meadows AR Explorer

The Museum of Liverpool, in partnership with the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside, and the Environment Agency, presents this incredible and groundbreaking augmented reality app.

The app allows you to explore a life-size recreation of the ancient Lunt Meadows archaeological site with augmented reality. Walk around the site and see what life may have been like many thousands of years ago in this Mesolithic settlement. Interactive panels tell you more about the site, it's important finds, and include audio guides from Ron Cowell, the museum's curator of prehistoric archaeology.

The app also allows you to interact with the brand new Lunt Meadows exhibition at the Museum of Liverpool, using special images to display digital versions of artefacts and recreations of the Lunt Meadows site.
