Machinist Companion – is an easy to use machinist reference and calculator designed to help CNC and manual machinists make parts faster. The interface never covers the result and all calculations auto complete. No longer will the number pad get in the way of the answer.


Tools offered in this release:

-Revolution per minute (RPM) calculator
-Surface feet per minute (SFM) calculator
-Inch per minute (IPM) calculator
-Fits and tolerance calculator
-Tap hole calculator
-Drill chart up to 2 inches
-Unified National (UN) tap drill chart
-Metric tap drill chart
-National Pipe Taper (NPT) tap drill chart
-Hardness conversion chart

A limits, fits and tolerances calculator has been developed to help you calculate shaft and bore dimensions. This calculator is based on the ISO recommendation R286 which uses metric units. For your convenience an inch/mm selector has been added to help people machining in North America using machines and calculations based on inch systems.

Tap hole calculator will give recommended minor diameter based on percentage. Once calculated, drill recommendations will be given with actual thread percentage.

Milling and lathe speeds and feeds calculators work in both imperial and metric.

UN and metric tap drill charts include tap drills for form taps and cut taps.

Hardness conversion chart includes conversion for Rockwell (A, B, and C scales) and Brinell .
