W.I.A.A. CLUB HOUSE LIMITED was incorporated on 10th September 1947. Under Indian Companies Act, VII of 1913. The Club House was originally housed in a bungalow of Sir David Sassoon’s bungalow named ‘IL PALAZZO’, where he and his family resided for a number of years. Sir David Sassoon sold this property to W.I.A.A. Club House Ltd. In the Year 1947 before returning to England. The initial idea for the Club House was formulated by a group of 16 members of Western India Automobile Association and they were the founder members of the club House which is now called MALABAR HILL CLUB LIMITED. The club functioned in this original premises till January 1967. In the year August 1968 the new Club House was built. Since then the club is functioning at the new premises. With improvements from time to time, the club has become today one of the leading clubs of Mumbai.
