Intended for labs, tourist information, emergency info and other potentially mission-critical purposes, where ordinary web browsers cannot enforce content consistency and availability as rigorously.

A menu row of tabs on top of the app will have an admin-configured title, size, font and color in one or several languages, with corresponding URLs to the corresponding web pages. To prevent tab clutter, tabs are limited to those predefined in the info-kiosk configuration of ManagdWAL+ Material intended to be opened in separate tabs is superimposed on top of calling page, until closed. A language select button will make the tab title and content link will change correspondingly.

ManagdWALplus offers built-in screensaver functionality with screen dimming, thereby providing instant-on operation once screen is touched. An optional non-use timer or reset button can trigger "goto startup pages" (of which there are up to 10 individual tabs) with reset to default language.

Settings are controlled by Intune, ManageEngine and other MDM/UEM/EMM-systems. MangdWALplus can signal it is alive using heartbeats to logservers, alerting admins in case of low memory, low battery and other status and when not received of device or communication malfunction.

The optional heartbeat can carry iOS generated information, such as battery status, memory used, number of screen presses, name of device and others, almost infinitely customizable to your needs. All in all, 188 control parameters may be defined in the XML file and transferred to the app. Any setting of the XML file will override the default settings already included with the app.

Early adopters have managed nicely with a XML file of a few dozens of lines, relying on the aforementioned defaults.

Note that no GDPR sensitive data are collected per default, and is cannot be implementable in the solution unless used in the very kiosk-unlike fashion of using this as a personal browser. However, since heartbeats can be used to generate statistics of uptime and simple number-of-presses per tab use, a mandatory user message (which can be tailored to your liking) will be triggered, if statistics are gathered in the app.
