MARVL K-12

Learn English easily and quickly, receiving instruction in both your native language and the English from animated 3D characters who co-exist in your environment. The MARVL K-12 app uses research-based best practices to teach vocabulary in a new language.
We know that new words are learned best when accompanied by robust explanations and clear definitions in the student’s first language, relevant visual supports, and multiple examples of word use in different contexts.



Our MARVL Universe characters – including Ivan and Watson – will:
• Deliver dynamic, interactive, vocabulary instruction
• Provide AR features that support learning, such as animations, sound effects, animated text to emphasize letter-sound relationships
• Lead the user in vocal participation and offer multiple examples of the word in different contexts
• And engage users continuously to ensure vocab retention and mastery


MARVL K-12 also builds on the traditional vocabulary flashcard. Our supporting vocab flashcards trigger animated AR “teachers” who engage students in an entertaining format. In our Alpha-test research, we found kindergarteners showed trackable gains even after the first day of use and cascading benefits with parents.
