Mukesh Chhabra is at the forefront of a new breed of casting directors in India. After training for two years to understand the craft of acting from Sriram Center (receiving a diploma in Acting), and seven plus years in Delhi teaching for NGO’s and children with Theater in Education (TIE) in tandem with the National School of Drama, he joined the film industry in Mumbai in 2007. After assisting several film crews with the job of casting, Mukesh made a name for himself as a casting director with films and web series like Chillar Party, Kai Po Che, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dangal, Scam 1992, The Family Man and so on. Today, the biggest names in the industry like Raju Hirani, Anubhav Sinha, Hansal Mehta, Vishal Bhardwaj, Sooraj Barjatya, Aamir Khan, and AR Rahman all choose MCCC for their casting needs. Smaller-budget filmmakers whose films target the festival circuit also rely on his unique talent to find them the correct ensemble cast. Mukesh and his team pride themselves in bringing the same attention to detail to all projects in their care.
