MeAR Fryslân

"MeAR Fryslân" is not just a route app, but an app that takes you along all the beauty that Fryslân has to offer in an interactive way. In "MeAR Fryslân" you will find routes with extra digital experience in the form of audio, photos, video and augmented reality. During a walk, for example, you will discover why the people in Wirdum were called "tuorkefretters" and who was Viglius of Aytta of Zwichum. Or you may walk past the old Far, the former waterway along which the first habitation of Terherne once arose.

Download the route of your choice, preferably on a WiFi connection so you do not have to depend on an internet connection outside in nature. After the route has been downloaded, it is available offline in the app under "my routes". The "MeAR Fryslân" app takes you, with the GPS of your mobile phone and a clear map, along the points where you get to see something beautiful. Per point, first a brief explanation is given after which you can start the experience.
