App Store Description

Consent Assistant App by MediaFiler enables organisations and photographers to meet GDPR requirements by producing a PDF form, with the subjects signed consent emailed to the subject and the person (Data Controller) at the organisation commissioning the shoot and the photographer or videographer. Easy and versatile to set up and easy to use in the field, with the subject, organisation and photographer / videographer all receiving a copy.
Use it on your phone or tablet. Dispense with pen & paper; create a searchable PDF on the photo shoot, video shoot or audio recording, interview or podcast. Ideal for photographers on corporate shoots or commissioning organizers such as the designers, advertising agency, creative agency, PR or marketing departments.
Hospital & Medical Charities and fund raisers will love this easy to use app to gather all the necessary GDPR consent forms from a shoot. Simply ask the subjects to fill in their details select the consent they agree, sign and they will receive a PDF consent form by email and a CC will be sent to the person acting in the capacity of Data Controller.
Set up the App once with your organisations details
• Contact email
• Logo
• Link to your web site & privacy policy
• Add a set of consent usage requirements
• Depending on the country, set the age of consent
• Add any CC or BCC email addresses
• Add an email provider that you have on your device
• Add a subject line for your emails from the app
On the shoot:
• Add the subjects name & email address
• If necessary check age and add guardians email address
• Enter reason for shoot (held by the App for multiple subjects on same shoot)
• Shoot date and location will be entered automatically from the device - you may edit both.
• Tick the reasons for the consent – say National Newspapers, PR shoot, Social Media or Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TV, Radio, YouTube, Corporate Brochure, Website, Corporate Brochure, Stock Library or Photographers Portfolio – Whatever you set up as your standard usage requirements relevant to your work or industry.
• Ask the subject or Guardian to sign on the screen and click send.
A PDF with your logo and the consent details will open up your selected email client on your device – you can therefore add text to the email and send as you would any email from your device.
The app is free to use, there are no in app purchases, no in app adverts. To comply with GDPR the app works directly on your device, it is not connected or dependent on any external processing server and you may delete all records off your device after the shoot and, presumably after the consent forms have been received by all parties.
The PDF form states that the form has been provided free of charge by Mediafiler.com but there is no click link to MediaFiler.com
The form was developed to users of MediaFiler Digital Asset Management systems – Digital Media Libraries - to assist our clients comply with GDPR regulations. MediaFiler libraries can link image files to consent forms. Clients can set up CC emails so forms are sent direct to their media libraries, inserted and linked to the photo shoot. The forms are fully text searchable, assisting when any GDPR related inquiry is received. The forms are also viewable in the library next to the images should any confirmation be required prior to use. Any number of consent forms may be linked to an image or photo shoot.
