App Store Description

Deafness is a medical condition where deaf people use a non-verbal way (Body gestures, Body positions, and signs) to communicate with others.

Although deaf people have the priority in health-care access, they do not get the proper health-care quality when they become sick.

The lack of aware doctors in KSL (Kuwait Sign Language), forces deaf patients to use interpreters in order to deliver their message “An ethical issue that breaks the Doctor-Patient privacy”.

The absence of specified clinics for deaf people, lengthens the time of their conversation with the doctors “A quality issue that prolongs the waiting time in hospitals”.

This free mobile App is designed to teach health-care providers (Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists, ... etc) who are interested in learning KSL (Kuwait Sign Language) in order to communicate with deaf patients effectively. Thus, improving the health-care quality.

This App is designed to display a sequence of subtitled videos as a dialogue between a doctor and a deaf patient in a hospital. Allowing the users to be able to ask questions using KSL as well as understanding the received answers.

All the videos were reviewed by medical doctors, deaf members, and approved KSL interpreters.

We are looking forward to welcoming any volunteers in the medical field for shooting new videos in the near future.
