How does Medmate work?
New scripts
When you receive a new script token from your doctor (in an
SMS or in printed format), simply load the script into Medmate
with the “Add a prescription” button.

Add scripts and store items to an order.

Choose the best pharmacy option for your basket by reviewing prices, delivery options and promotions.

Can I get it delivered?
Yes. The pharmacies in your local area will display their delivery options including any costs and available delivery periods.

Who will deliver my medication?
Pharmacies organise their own courier services. Medmate insists that drivers undergo background checks, privacy and security training. Your medication arrives in a discrete package and only you and your pharmacist are aware of the contents.

Can I order for a family member?
Of course. We will assist you in setting up your account that can include family members or people you care for.

Is my information secure?
This is very important to us. We abide by the same standards as pharmacies and medical centres in Australia. Your data is stored in Australia in an encrypted HIPAA compliant environment.

What if I have different needs?
Include comments in the order section to the pharmacy of your choice. The pharmacy will contact you about your requirements.

OR

Provide us the details of the pharmacy holding the scripts. We’ll contact them to invite them to the Medmate service. Otherwise, we’ll transfer your scripts to your Medmate pharmacy of choice.

How much does it cost?
Your invoice will be itemised:

Medication costs are set by the pharmacy of choice and would be same as if you walked into your pharmacy to purchase. You can add as many items as you like to a single order. Choose delivery or click and collect.
Delivery cost is determined by the pharmacy and ranges from free delivery to over $10.
How do I get a new script?
Medmate has links to a growing number of clinics around Australia. Use the “Request a new script” function from the quick access button
