Mercedes-Benz Link enables vehicle-optimised smartphone apps to be used on the display of the multimedia system in Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Separate hardware by the name of "Mercedes-Benz Link" is additionally required. This is connected with the vehicle via the corresponding USB port. After downloading the "Mercedes-Benz Link" app, the smartphone is connected via WLAN and Bluetooth with a separate hardware item. As soon as the connection has been established, selected smartphone apps can be called up and used directly via the vehicle's multimedia system. In addition to apps from third-party suppliers, native smartphone functions such as the Music Player are also supported. The app portfolio varies according to smartphone and supply market.
