Mobile Age

Mobile Age is an EU funded project that focuses on digital and mobile technology, based on open government data, which will be used by senior citizens to access and use public services in their community in an easier, more personalised and adequate way.

The Mobile Age app aims to provide information on services, volunteering opportunities and events aimed at older adults living the the South Lakeland area in the UK. These events and services are combined with information for transport and travel, facilities on route, such as public toilets and benches and weather. Users can specify their preferences in a user profile to tailor searches to their specific needs. Clear and trustworthy information is provided through one portal that links up open data from various trusted sources, avoiding the need for multiple searches, thus reducing barriers to social participation.
