App Store Description

The Morgan Method APP uses the plots of microfilm and TV series as a material for listening training. Students can choose from a variety of topics. Each topic is associated with a subtitle file. Students can take advantage of the various features of the app in several different “models”. Students can listen to the training materials in subtitles, subtitles, and audio modes. Each mode can train students' hearing and brain sensitivity to language in different ways.
First set up the "learning file". Your learning profile will determine how easy it is for the APP to ask you questions during the follow-up learning process. For beginners, the problems raised by the software are mostly a general understanding of audio and video materials. The goal of intermediate students is to understand and replace more specific questions such as the use of words. For advanced level students, the software will bring more questions about the meaning and explanation of the basic content (these questions need to be considered critically to give an answer).
Also, choose how many pieces of audio and video material you want to hear each time. Each piece of material consists of two sentences in the audio and video. The higher the number of segments selected, the more sentences you hear each time and the more difficult the problem. If you choose "Pause after each paragraph", you will hear two sentences at a time and will be asked for up to three questions. If you choose "Pause after every two readings", you will hear four sentences at a time, and so on. We recommend that beginners first choose to listen to 2 or 3 segments at a time, and gradually increase the difficulty as your listening and comprehension increases, eventually increasing it to 6.
After the students have read each piece of material, the software will be from us. Three questions are randomly selected from the system's default question bank. The question will be related to the audio and video material that the student just heard. If the student has reached an advanced level in the app, the system will push the mix of primary, intermediate and advanced questions for the student. If the student is at an intermediate level, the system will push the mix of primary and intermediate questions for the student. The student's “hearing comprehension score” will be determined by the student's correct answer rate. After the student submits the question, the system will tell the student if the answer is correct and if the error is correct, what is the correct answer.
Finally, set your learning goals. In this app, a beginner user setting the learning goal to 50% may be easy to achieve, but in daily conversations, there may be many misunderstandings about what is being heard. Therefore, we believe that the 65%-80% target may be more reasonable. Since the learning curve is not linearly improved, achieving the goal of 100% comprehension is almost impossible. Students can view their progress progress at any time through the app's statistical charts. The listening comprehension scores of different plot scenarios are saved in the APP. Therefore, students can improve themselves more specifically according to the display of the chart.
In order to confirm the students' understanding of the materials they are listening to, after each piece of audio and video content is played, students will need to answer some questions about audio and video content. If the student does not fully understand the content, the student can choose to replay the previous clip and listen to it as needed. Only after the question is answered correctly can the student choose to continue with the next episode or temporarily withdraw from the viewing. Once the student withdraws from viewing, the student's progress will be automatically saved. The next time you use the app, students will be able to connect to the progress of the last completed.
