App Store Description

Beat emotional eating, Craving at Mid-Day, Sweet Tooth & So Much More.

This app appeared out of frustration of trying to lose weight and struggling to get fit with exhaustion and constant failures on the way. I've managed to get to ideal weight only watching how it goes away in a matter of months, work that has been done in years is gone and I need to start over. I was never able to track what I eat long enough or stick to a diet, and all those temptations over cake won me over. I'm not perfect and I won't be changing my life because of the app, but I've decided to control one small piece of my diet - junk I eat, all other options are not included. So here is this app, that I'm building to help me and hopefully others to win the fight and keep eating desserts.

How it works:

The app is based on Eating Disorder Techniques used for a long time in psychology and now available in your pocket.

Moderation over restriction - In theory - I should start eating healthy food and keep it up for whole my life, and then I would see significant changes. In practice it just does not work, I can hold on for few weeks, few months, but I would be tempted exhausted and frustrated for most of the day. There is an alternative technique that makes total sense if you think about it - a fun food technique - to stop eating a lot of junk food allow yourself to eat junk twice a day - that would release tension and keep you sane. So this is principal #1 - moderate your junk intake, do not restrict it.
Exercise - but not a lot. App automatically integrates with Apple Health and calculates the number of calories you've burned during the day and adds this amount to your junk budget. Don't force yourself to run a marathon every other day, this is not what even Usain Bolt can do, so treat yourself with love and just do a minimum amount.
Understand your emotions. Often we start eating junk because of anxiety, depression or plain hunger and we don't even notice that. So to be more present, there are 2 question that you need to answer - What is the emotion, that I'm feeling & What is the situation. You can just register that and continue, that would already help a lot in your taming your behavior.
Build your confidence. That is every day that you stuck with a budget or reached your activity goal you need to celebrate and give yourself credit, for going that far. It's a long process, and it will take time, more than we want to admit.
Analyze your behavior, since you'll be tracking your emotions and junk food you'll get to know yourself more and understand yourself more, what negative parts of your life you can change or if everything is fine just accept, how perfectly imperfect we all are.

I'm building more tools to help in this struggle - SMART habits, accountability, intuition builder e t.c. This is just a beginning.

I was hesitant to add a subscription before I had everything running, but If at this point this application does not have any value, there is no point in continuing, I've already spent 8 months building it.

Thanks,
Anton
