MuFu — Learn music with tutors

MuFu (from Music Future) is a platform for parents, kids and tutors to seamlessly conduct musical education for children 5-15 years old.
We give parents access to a curated list of carefully vetted music teachers and then help organize the learning process ensuring its auditability and transparency.

The parents will know that their kids are learning with the best in a safe and productive environment. The payments also go through the system. The parents will have an option to silently observe the lesson even without the child's knowledge as well as to review video recordings of the lessons.

To the teachers MuFu offers a steady stream of high quality customers, easy payment processing, quick dispute resolution and a single place where the teaching history is stored and the learning process is managed.

Who is this for?
• Parents and their children aged 5-15 who are looking to take 1-on-1 music lessons online
• Music teachers looking for a convenient way to offer their services to children

What is included?
• The marketplace - a place where parents can find a tutor for their child by instrument, language and a few other criteria
• The parent-tutor chat where they negotiate and schedule lessons
• The learning management and feedback system
• For the child - the video lesson module - allows the child to easily sign in and take lessons on iOS devices as well as using any modern web browser on any device
• Learning management and feedback system - the tutor can leave feedback just for the parent (invisible to the child) or for the child

How does it work?

Music tutor (teacher)
• Create the profile, specifie their preferred language, student level and some bio. The system will ask for a stripe profile - that's how our tutors receive payments
• Wait for MuFu teacher vetting team to reach out for credentials and a quick conversation to confirm that the tutor (you) is suitable for the platform
• Once access to the platform has been granted, the tutor's profile becomes discoverable in the marketplace search and the parents will be able to find and reach out to you
• MuFu will sponsor a small number of trial lessons with different students - please ask during the vetting process. Subject to qualification at the MuFu's discretion

If you're a parent
• Register a profile with credit card information and children's names and ages. The only information on the child we require is first name and age
• Search the marketplace, find a tutor for the right instrument and age group, whose pricing you deem acceptable.
• Message the tutor on MuFu to schedule the first lesson
• Only once a lesson has been accepted by both you and the teacher, and unless it is a trial first lesson sponsored by MuFu, your credit card will be charged. Please keep in mind that after the scheduling and unless you agree on a cancelation with the teacher you will be charged even if your child is a no show. We have a customer support team which can resolve charging disputes in emergency cases
• Please be advised: at this time MuFu charges on a lesson by lesson basis only
• When the lesson time comes - make sure your child is logged in either on an apple device or in any web browser on any device and ready to start their journey into the world of music.
• You as a parent will be able to silently observe the lesson online (the child won't even know you're there), review the recordings afterwards as well as read teacher's notes addressed exclusively to you or to both you and your child.
• You will have an emergency "stop the lesson" button in case you think something goes wrong and requires your immediate intervention
