Muktamar 2018

Muktamar is an annual convention held by Indonesian Muslim Society in America (IMSA) and Malaysian Islamic Student Group (MISG). Historically, this convention was first hosted by MISG in 1976. Since then, it has been held annually and has attracted over several hundred participants. In the last few years, about 1000 participants attended the event.

This upcoming 2018 convention represents the 42th consecutive year for MISG and the 19th for IMSA. These annual conventions elaborate on one theme after another and invite scholars in the area. The programs in the convention have directly impacted da'wah activities in North America and have broadened the Islamic horizons of Indonesian and Malaysian students in North America as well as Muslim community members.
