MusicMimic

MusicMimic is for kids. Touching or stroking the screen plays a cascade of piano notes and colorful stars against a white background. About a second later the sequence of notes and stars are repeated. There are no ads and no data collection of any kind.

The app is easy to use and compelling. Kids and even adults will find it fun to play with.

If you like the app, you can upgrade to the paid version, which allows you to put up fun background images. There is a small set of built-in photos you can select from. More importantly, you can access pictures in your photo library, allowing you to take photos of anything you'd like your child to be looking at, such as favorite characters or other images from children's books, photos of mom or dad, relatives, best friends, etc.

The paid version has other benefits: You can play guitar, gongs, or bells (bells are particularly nice). You can also turn off the repeat function.

Whether or not you like MusicMimic, please take the time to rate it. Although the app appears simple, it took a lot of effort to make it work well. We would appreciate any suggestions you might have to improve its fun-factor, quality, and usability.
