Recent developments in Internet technologies have ushered in a new era of the WWW – Web 3.0. The aim of the MUXIC project is to ride on these developments to enhance the way we interact with music, musicians, and music lovers and creators.

The MUXIC App is the result of rethinking how musical creations should be delivered to and enjoyed by their recipients (the audiences, the fans) in such a way that the creators will be justifiably rewarded. This is possible by adopting blockchain as the infrastructure which connects artists/creators to their fans and audiences in a “decentralized” fashion – that is, without having to rely heavily on a “middleman” as in the traditional music distribution models. The blockchain infrastructure allows minting of songs as NFTs, thus letting fans share the songs' ownership and partake in the musical journeys of their favorite artists. Blockchain also is ideal for supporting collaboration among users of the App who have different but complementary musical abilities.

MUXIC makes possible the following:
• Upload your songs and share them with the world, with no one else in between
• Monetize your creations with NFT and let your fans be the co-owner (Next version)
• Collaborate with others through blockchain on your new song production (Future version)

Other features of the MUXIC App that are in planning include virtual concerts (using the App to tune in to a real-time concert performed in a metaverse), and musical games in the metaverse.
