App Store Description

Note: This app is not a video game. This app is used to keep score when playing Mexican Train Dominoes with actual dominoes.

Score Keeper was written to make Mexican Train Dominoes more enjoyable by removing the need for pencils and paper score sheets. Simply enter the scores as they are called out after each round of play, no longer a need to add columns. Play time may be shortened by approx. 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of players and the score keeper.

Keeping score is made effortless because the navigation between pages uses the swipe right/left system as well as links between functions. The score keeper can use either one or both depending on which is most comfortable.

Features include:

1. The ability to go back and look at player's score for each domino round played. The format is similar to paper scoresheets except it requires no effort to keep it updated.
2. Each player's score is available on the "Summary" page as long as the game is in progress. The players are listed in order of their current score in descending order.
3. An optional list can be maintained with the names of "Frequent Players". When a new game is started, players can be selected from this list, other players can be entered via text field.
4. Players can be added to a game or removed at any time during the game. This allows for players arriving after the game has started as well as players needing to leave before the game is completed.
5. Scores can be edited at any time in the event they were entered incorrectly.
6. A history file is maintained to keep the summary of games played. In addition to the summary record in the history file, the detailed scoresheet for games can be displayed.
7. Statistics for the group can be kept as well as statistics for each of the individual players. Statistics include the total number of games played, average score, average number of times a player goes out, and the number of times a player gets low score. Statistics collection is optional and can be controlled on the "Settings" page.
8. Scorekeeper can be used with two domino set sizes, 12 and 15. The set size only needs to be set once; however, it can be changed any time between games.
