My Clock Lessons

My Clock Lessons contains a set of lessons and tools for instructors to help teach time-telling on an analog clock. Lessons are interactive and reinforce success in a sequenced program of instruction to help make learning fun and easy!

Lessons teach the following clock skills:

· Identifying the hour and minute hands

· Reading the minute hand

· Reading the hour hand

· Rotating the clock hands to match the stated time

· Using the minute hand to help discriminate the current hour when it nears the next hour

Use the interactive clock to make your own lessons. With this you can:

· Rotate the hands freely

· Clock hands simulate geared motion of an analog clock

· Customize the appearance by changing individual clock elements – hundreds of different combinations are possible

· Use hour zone and minute zone highlights to prompt the hand location

· Vary how many minute numbers are displayed – all 60, every 5th, every 15th , or none

Look for error patterns to help future teaching. Error analysis after each lesson helps to identify:

· If the wrong hand was touched (when identifying hour and minute hands)

· If the time entered was off by one minute or off by one hour
