App Store Description

An easy to use employment management tool for domestic employers in South Africa

The My Domestic App is a document management tool for domestic employers in South Africa. Think of it as a briefcase owned by a domestic employer that contains the employment files of up to 4 domestic workers. If you have domestic workers who works for 24 hours or more per month for you and who earns below R205 433,30 per year this app is for you. The app was born from one domestic employer’s need for assistance with record-keeping. The app is based on respect for workers, respect for the law and respect for the household’s rules.

With the app you can:

- Create an employment file for up to 4 workers using the app.
- Generate and maintain the essential employment documents for your workers (example: contract of employment).
- Store workers’ personal information with workers’ consent (example: ID document).
- Keep record of leave granted, sick notes and available leave, including parental leave.
- Issue a payslip or confirm details of a loan, salary advance or an increase.
- Take disciplinary measures if needed (example: notice to attend a disciplinary).
- Terminate employment with good grounds by following the appropriate procedures (example: retrenchment).
- Establish household rules and standards of conduct by applying built-in policies and procedures (example: smoking policy).
- Defend yourself better in case of a claim by demonstrating that you treat your workers fairly and consistently.
