My Warm Little Pond

This application was created for [2021 Artience Daejeon] and will be shown in the offline exhibition held at the Daejeon Artist's House from November 4 to November 14, 2021.

The biologist Charles Darwin, who wrote the Origin of Species, in a letter to a friend, speculated that “Ammonia and phosphate, light, heat, and electricity combined to form life in a warm little pond", which is later called the "Warm little pond hypothesis".

This app was created to have your own 'warm little pond' where life may arise. Glass fragments with organic forms can be seen as fragments of DNA, or even the form of life just before it emerges. They are transferred to a digital environment and transformed into an unpredictable form by finding a solution that is optimized for the environment through generations through one of the Genetic Algorithms: Delaunay triangulation & Voronoi diagram.

- The "Evolute frequency (number of evolution times)" and "Evolution duration" until these digital creatures achieve the final generational transformation can be adjusted by the user.

- Each user can get different results.

-Whenever each object causes generational transformation, it automatically zooms in on one object and then zooms out, and the user can adjust the screen by him/herself.
