A wonderfully simple way to entertain your child!
Fun Mythical Creatures are ready to be caught with our MythCatchAR Augmented Reality App!

Let’s be honest here…

We’ve put MythCatchAR out there for all of you who ever need to encourage a young child to do something or not do something!

We hope you’ll agree it’s better than resorting to chocolate or wild threats.

It also serves as a useful distraction for keeping youngsters occupied for a few moments in, say, a queue.

The downside, yes, you need to give them your phone for a little while. We think that’s a small price to pay for the upside:

- Give yourself another tool in the child negotiation armoury!
- Fuel your child’s imagination
- Help their fine motor skills
- Give them early engagement with technology – a key pillar of their world
- Give yourself a break!

It’s also worth noting:

There is no ‘upsell’ in the game – once you have it, you have all of it – no blocked areas that disappoint your child.

It is very simple – you will be asked no questions to play the game, there are no adverts, you do not have to connect with anything or anybody else to play it. Just download and play.

MythCatchAR allows the real world environment around your child to be populated with cute mythical creatures (nothing scary here!) that they can see through your phone’s camera view then ‘catch’ by touching the creature on the screen. They get a ‘well done’ message when they catch all 10 creatures.
Just so you know (shhh!), the creatures appear in a 360 circle around where the child is when you open the app – all at around eye level. So, the good news is that your child does not need to walk anywhere (…bump into things etc.) to play this game – they just look around them. That said, we have found it quite lovely watching them move to find the creatures - in a safe environment of course.

At the team here we’ve used the app in various situations – here’s a couple:
"My 5 year old has an added incentive to go up to bed when I say he can play MythCatchAR in his bedroom. The good news is the game only takes a couple of minutes but he really enjoys it."
"We spent a large part of our weekend queuing for rides at a themepark and all 3 of my children aged from 3-9 had fun with this App while they were waiting!"

We would love your feedback on how you would like us to develop this game further – if you send suggestions to support@mkodo.com, we’ll listen. Plus, if you would like, we will put your child’s name (or one they choose) into the pot for potential selection for naming a creature in a future app release!
