Nærbø IL ble stiftet 23. september 1923 og har siden den gang hatt stor betydning i bygda. Per 1.1. 2018 har vi omtrent 1450 aktive medlemmer i alle aldre.
Våre fremste mål er å være den viktigste organisasjonen for barn og unge på Nærbø, legge forholdene til rette for et godt miljø og mye aktivitet, og å skape mange flere positive opplevelser og stolte øyeblikk for alle som er direkte eller indirekte involvert i idrettslaget.
