Negative: Dark Mode for Safari

Negative is a Safari Extension that turns every bright website into a dark one. Turn it on and avoid eyestrain when browsing at night. Dark mode is great but it only works applications. Not every website has a dark mode and this is where Negative is here to help you.

Negative works for every website! And it works for every website because it doesn't restyle it – this approach is brittle and we have dozens of other Safari "Dark Mode" extensions that don't work. Negative works for every website by inverting its colors. Every white pixel turns black-ish and every black pixel turns white-ish! We have added a certain flavour to the inversions, so the colors look just right. It makes websites look like film negatives, hence the name.

Negative is not obtrusive. It doesn't turn automatically with your iOS Dark Mode. When you want to use it – turn it on, when done – turn it off. That's it, you're in control! And yes, you can disable it for certain websites, and Negative will remember your choice. Sweet!

Because Negative works for every website, we need you to have the Safari Extension "Allowed for all websites". And it needs access to all websites to invert their colors, nothing else. We don't collect any information from your device, or your browser – not a single bit!
