App Store Description
NFC Card Reader allows you to read the information contained within the RFID chip of modern identity documents.
The App scans the information contained within the chips via NFC scan and shows the information to the user.
The information is processed locally on the device from which the scan is made without any transmission of personal data to remote servers.
To read an identity document, just frame the MRZ (Machine Readable Zone) area and, once the scan is complete, bring the document closer to the top of the device, the app will take care of the rest.
Before you can say Jack Robinson you’ll be able to consult all the data contained within the document.
For the validation of the certificate’s issuing authority, a connection (HTTPS) to an AliasLab server is used, which allows you to download an updated list of certificates issued by the competent authorities (for example: the Ministry of the Interior), used to validate the integrity of data read by NFC scanning.
The information processed by the App persists only for the time necessary to be processed, deciphered and displayed, and subsequently is immediately deleted on every new document scan.
