NISPSAS (FGN)

Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) launched Nigeria Internal security and public Safety Alert System (NISPSAS) in February 2019 as part of measures to boost national security, counter-terrorism and protection of public against avoidable disaster.

The primary aim of NISPSAS is to deepen public participation in internal security and public safety . While promoting response coordination amongst security and law enforcement agencies.

in line with Ministry of Interior mandate and utilization of National Policy on ICT 2012 Chapter 12, particularly National Security and Cybersecurity of 23rd December 2014 Part, which seek harmonization of security strategy that will respond to the dynamism of the National Security threats. Similarly , the National Security and Law enforcement 12.3, Strategies i & ii which states that ;

i. Using ICT to combat contemporary and emerging security threats and challenges.

ii. Raising awareness and educating National Security and Law enforcement personnel at all levels on the use, benefits, and risks of new IT environment.

NISPSAS application was jointly developed by the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) with operational collaboration of Department of State Services (DSS) and the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) utilizing development regulation pillar of National Digital Economy Strategy of Federal Ministry of communication and Digital Economy and indigenous proprietary software of 2TOC Solutions ltd

NiSPSAS is made up of both mobile and web applications seamlessly performing the following functions ;

(i) Intelligence gathering and sharing

(ii) Disaster Mitigation
