App Store Description

The National Relay Service (NRS) is a government initiative that allows people who are deaf, hard of hearing and/or have a speech impairment to make and receive phone calls.

With this app you can currently make calls using the following NRS call options:
- NRS Chat – if you want to type and read your conversation
- Voice Relay – if you are hard to understand on the phone
- NRS Captions – if you can speak but can’t hear clearly

For Auslan users, Video Relay calls will be available in a later release. Until then Video Relay calls can be made directly through Skype.

COST
The app and any calls you make while using the app are free. However, the app requires an internet connection and uses data. How you are charged for this data will depend on the plan you have with your service provider.

See https://www.communications.gov.au/accesshub/nrs to find out more about the NRS or the NRS app.
