Octopus Wizard Tariff Compare

Octopus Wizard is a free app designed to help Octopus Energy customers easily compare their electricity usage.

Easy to Use and Always Improving: Octopus Wizard is simple to navigate and is regularly updated with new features to enhance your energy management experience.

The app has four tabs, Agile Octopus, historic electricity usage, the compare tab and the settings tab.

On the first tab, Agile Octopus you can view future and historic Octopus Agile electricity rates, broken down into half hourly intervals. When viewing the future Octopus rates the app also works out when it is cheapest to run your appliances based on their run times, for example if you wanted to charge your car and estimate it will take 6 hours, the app will tell you when the cheapest time on the Agile tariff is to start the charge.

On the second tab, historic electricity usage, you can see how much electricity you have used in the past 30 days broken down per day with summaries for 7 and 30 days. The breakdown shows an estimate of how much you have paid per kWh and in total, and a comparison to any other Octopus tariff currently available in your area (you choose). For example, if you are on Octopus Intelligent Go and want to compare this to Octopus Agile you can do so and the app will tell you which tariff would have been cheapest for you on a daily, 7-day and 30-day basis.

On the third tab, the compare tab, you can compare any two tariffs of your choice, so for example, if you are on Octopus Intelligent Go but wanted to compare Octopus Agile with their flexible tariff based on your electricity usage you can do you. You can also compare on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

On the final tab, the settings tab, you can change the settings so the comparison app suits you. You can change the look and feel of the charts and tables and choose two or three decimal points (as Octopus reports electricity usage in more than two decimal points).
