ODU Checkup - EMA was developed with federal funding provided by NIAAA to disseminate and study the effects of a mobile-delivered alcohol intervention among a college student population. App users will be limited to those enrolled in the research study being conducted at Old Dominion University and University of New Mexico by use of a password on the login screen. App users are part of a randomized clinical trial that involves a face-to-face intervention with followup data being collected with these apps via cell phone. The primary purpose of this applications is to collect daily drinking and drinking consequences data from individuals with their phone. This type of data collection is called Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA). The Project Checkup EMA app will only be collecting data by administering 3 short surveys each day about user’s drinking intentions, consumption, and consequences.
